Reaching Forward Ministries
Access to clean drinking water is a significant issue in remote Indian villages, with residents having to travel long distances to fetch water from contaminated sources. This lack of access has resulted in widespread health problems among villagers, primarily due to waterborne diseases. Residents are forced to walk 3 to 4 kilometers to obtain water from canals, ponds, and wells, highlighting the urgent need for improved water infrastructure in these areas.
India is currently experiencing a significant water crisis, impacting over 480 million people who lack access to safe drinking water. This has led to many villages having to depend on unsafe water sources, prompting residents to travel long distances in search of water. Our organization addresses this issue by drilling and dedicating water wells in the name of Jesus Christ, aiming to provide safe water to all in need without discrimination based on background. This initiative seeks to alleviate the water scarcity issue and improve overall accessibility to safe drinking water in India.
The organization focuses on providing water bore wells to urban slum communities, as hand water pumps are unattainable for those relying on daily wages. This initiative aims to address the water needs of both urban slum and rural communities, providing pure and healthy water to less privileged areas.
